article marketing strategy

A well planned article marketing strategy has the potential to give you daily leads and sales regardless of what business you are in.

Not everybody likes to write articles but for those of you who do, read on  because you will learn some very useful tips that you can apply to your articles today.

Article marketing strategy is more than posting articles to your blog

Article marketing is not just about writing articles and posting them to your blog or to You’ve got to make sure that your articles are optimised before posting them on article directories.

And you also want to make sure that you pick keywords that are not so competitive otherwise you may not stand a chance on the search engines.

I did a blog post that fully explains on page SEO and you can read it here.

If you really want to drive traffic to your website, you also have to spin your article and submit it to a lot of article directories.

Here are some top high rank directories that you can submit to:

Article Directory Page Rank
1. 6
2. 6
3. 4
4. 5
5. 5
6. 5
7. 5
8. 4
9. 5
10. 4
11. 4

You actually need a lot more than these to really start seeing massive results from article marketing.

And I found a great tool called Article Marketing Robot that helps you to submit your articles to hundred of directories at the click of  the button. You can check it out here.

It will even create accounts for you on all those directories with a few clicks of the mouse.

These article directories will not accept links in the body of the articles you submit to them.

However, most of them will allow one or two links in the resource box, which is normally at the end of the article.

Article Marketing Strategy, going a step further

One of the important elements in an effective article marketing strategy is building backlinks to your articles.

When you put your links in the article directories that we spoke about earlier, make sure that those links are all pointing back to the original source of your article.

So for example, if your original article was posted on your blog, then you should point all those links back to your blog.

The more backlinks you have, the higher chances you have of outdoing your competitors and driving traffic to your blog or website which in turn will convert into more leads and sales for you.

There are tools that can help you to build additional backlinks and the one that I use and find very simple to use is called ABC3K or Automatic Backlink Creator as it was previously called.

When you are writing your articles, keep your reader in mind too.

Don’t jumble everything into long boring paragraphs. Short paragraphs are very easy to read and are easy on the eye too.

I also tend to include white spaces between my paragraphs so that my readers can easily skim over to find what they are looking for.

Most people will not read your articles from the beginning to the end. They will just skim over, so you need to make it very easy for them to do so, otherwise they will leave your website and never come back again.

Always bear in mind that it’s the people who come to your website that will convert into leads and sales so your goal is to get thousands of people to your website so that you can get more leads and sales.

If you are following this article marketing strategy consistently, you will get results!
