blogging secretsSome of these blogging secrets are things you probably don’t know about so pay close attention.

When you start out in the blogging world, one of your goals should be to create a buzz on your blog and engage your blog visitors so that they will always look forward to your next blog post.

In this blog post, I will share with you some simple tips that you can implement to captivate your blog visitors.

Blogging Secrets 1 – Have attention grabbing titles

Your title to your blog post is very important because that is what grabs your blog visitor’s attentions immediately.

People’s attention span is very short so if your titles do not grab them immediately, you won’t stand a chance of keeping them on your blog for more than a few seconds.

‘How to’s are great for titles. Your blog visitors are looking for solutions and that’s why ‘How to’ titles are more eye catching.

Blogging Secrets 2 – Create powerful content

Following your powerful blog title, you also need to have a powerful opening sentence and content as well.

If your title has captivated your blog visitors, you don’t want to leave them disappointed with a lame opening sentence and crappy content.

Blogging Secrets 3 – Make use of internal links

Internal linking is not only good for your SEO and to increase blog traffic but it’s also great for keeping your blog visitors engaged.

Have you ever been to a blog and you found totally engrossed and just clicking away?

That’s the advantage of linking to your other blog posts within a particular post.

Word of caution: don’t overdo it and plaster your internal links in every sentence because that can have a negative effect on your blog visitors and actually weary them.

Blogging Secret 4 – Use exciting images

Use eye catching images in your blog posts. A picture speaks louder than a thousand words as they say!

If you don’t know how to upload images to your blog, I did a video about it here.

Tip: When you use images, don’t waste your link juice, link your images to capture pages or money pages. People like to click and they do click on your images.

Blogging Secrets 5 – Respond to comments

Responding to comments makes your blog visitors feel that you truly care about them. I don’t know about you but I don’t like it when I take my precious time to comment on someone’s blog and they don’t even acknowledge it.

Tip: Always use people’s names when responding to comments. It’s more personal that way.

Blogging Secrets 6 – Post frequently

I cannot over emphasis this one. If you have decided to start a blog, you have to be committed to it and post regularly.

Once people start to know your blog, they will be expecting to see your content and it’s a big turn off if you are inconsistent with posting content.

Blogging Secrets 7 – Make use of blog pages

Having additional blog pages rather than just ‘Home’, ‘About’, and ‘Contact Me’, gives your blog more value and also gives your blog visitors more options of what to click on.

Blogs with just one or two pages are quite unappealing and doesn’t give the appearance that there is a lot going on.

Blogging Secrets 8 – Use related posts

Another excellent way to engage your blog visitors and keep your blog buzzing is to show off your related posts at the bottom of your posts. It gives your blog visitors more value and something to click on.

You can use ‘Link Within plugin’ or ‘Related Posts plugin’.

In Conclusion….

If you are able to take these blogging secrets and run with it, you will become so valuable to your blog visitors and they won’t get enough out of your blog content.

They will always keep coming back!
