Being in the health field I can strongly recommend Melaluca’s cleaning products. They are very effective and non-toxic.I have used the laundry soap for many years. I don’t give a big hurray for their supplements. I always check the ratings in the NutriSearch Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements (Consumer Edition for the United States and Canada). This has been put together by an unbiased source. (Meaning they guy who wrote it does make money from the supplement industry)
Of course, as you pointed out, if you don’t have a marketing plan it doesn’t matter how good your product is.

I have a friend who is a distributor in Melaleuca. She seems to be doing fairly well with the company and certainly loves the products. I personally don’t know much about Melaleuca until now. Thanks for your review Ruth.
I was with Melaleuca and loved it especially the products. However due to living in the Caribbean they closed our accounts and refunded every one of us. We were building quite a team to.

Hi there…just wanted to point out that Melaleuca is NOT an mlm company and I do believe you would have quite the arguement to try and prove that it is! I have met Frank L Vandersloot and he has created a company like No OTHER and it is definately NOT MLM. Just so ya know.

The company may not want to be tagged as an MLM company but if you scrutinise their business model very carefully, it is actually a network marketing company or mlm.
MLM’s are not bad, it’s just a business model.
Melaleuca renew intensive skin therapy lotion is the best cream for your skin. After a bath I apply just a small amount and my skin feels so smooth for hours. Love to use this product on my legs.

My husband and I have a friend that did a melaleuca presentation for use last night, and it was really good and the products seem great, but I havent tried them. On the other hand I am thinking about the business venture, but have not decided if it is totaly for me. but with your helpful information I will take the time to determine a marketing plan first before making the commintment!

I joined Melaleuca this past week, and ordered the value pak to get started. My director (whom I met through an online work-at-home ad) has been diligently helping me since we first spoke. She encouraged me to schedule a presentation with approximately 8-10 ppl which she will do via computer slides etc. I called friends and associates and invited them to Health and Wellness presentation, and all but one was very willing to come without asking many upfront questions.
Today, I decided to read as much as I could about the company, and find out more about its competitors. That’s how I got your page. Glad to read your reviews, and hope that I will be successful in this endeavor.

I love the products, they work great but I don’t like the fact you have to spend so much money/points every month in order to buy the products. I don’t just that much product.
I don’t understand how anyone can want to buy, let alone get involved, from a bunch of vampires. When you sign up as a preferred member, you must agree to buy a minimum purchase every month or they hit your credit card automatically with a product of their choice. In my case, it was a case of vitamins for $65.64! I didn’t not order this, nor did I want it. That bit of fine print wasn’t explained to me when I joined up. I told them I no longer wanted to be a member, they told me I have to quit in writing. Then I told them that I didn’t want the package, then they told me to send it back. When the package came, I denied it so it wasn’t opened. I received an email confirmation that they had received the package back, and that I can expect to receive a refund within 10 business days. That time came and went, with no refund. So I called then, and they said I have to ask for a refund in writing. Seriously?!?!? The representative then said he can only issue a refund minus $18.00 shipping and handling charge. So yes, they want me to pay for a shipment charge for a product I didn’t want. Now they and anyone else here, can say “tough, shoulda read the fine print” as much as you like. The fundamental problem I have with this…they hide behind the veil of “tsk, tsk, should have read the contract” knowing full well that most people don’t read it. Real slick Melaleuca! Do yourselves a favor, change your underhanded business practices and fast.

Did they eventually refund you?
I am a DirectorII with Melaleuca. I can honestly say that if you paid attention to the presentation it CLEARLY states that you choose a back-up order and that YOU can choose what you will get if it gets sent because you didn’t order in time for the month. It is set as a default to vitamins until YOU go in and select what you want your back up order to be. You CAN order less than 35 points a month but you will just pay the regular price not the preferred customer price. The choice is yours! I feel your review is unfair and biased based on your not doing what you were supposed to do. If you had completed your order as agreed at sign-up you would have never received a back-up order. Melaleuca is an outstanding, honest and forthright company and it does not hide anything from the customer. I am sorry you had a bad experience but it seems to be self inflicted.

No, they did not refund me yet. They offered me a partial refund, which I refused, so I had to resort to calling my credit card company to dispute the charge. I gave them an email showing the return invoice. Hopefully I will get all my money back, but I’m not optimistic. It has been nothing but a hassle in dealing with this company. Ugh.
I am not that happy with the laundry soap as it only refreshes the clothes but do not clean them. The Sei Bella shampoo+conditioner makes my scalp itchy and got dandruff, and i haven’t had dandruff in years. I like the vitamins and the supplements, and some of the bathroom cleaning products, so I guess it’s still worthy keeping my membership going.
